Portable printer for kids ages 10-13
The task was to create a fun and quirky design full of personality for an analyst meeting, as part of promoting Polaroid's newly developed design language for their consumer segment.
The printer produces monochromatic action shots on a roll or individual sheets with fun options like sticky back, glow-in-the-dark or iron-on. The base holds both camera and printer for either uploading or printing.




After an initial round of sketching we decided with the client that an upright gesture would allow the product to move away from the common image of digital photography at the time and give it more personality.

The system comes with a digital camera that fits into the printer base. Download your pictures, switch the camera with the printer and press the start button. The pic comes out of the printer's smiley face.
