A human-centered designer with 15+ years of experience I seek opportunities to work with purpose-led organizations to create positive change through design.

I have held multiple design roles in both corporate and consulting environments. My experience ranges from qualitative research, insight development and workshop facilitation, to product design and development in consumer and automotive, to brand strategy and graphics. These varied experiences across different environments, cultures and industries have shaped my design perspective and the way we best collaborate. Orchestrating all aspects of a project I strive to create a shared vision with my team and clients that lead to delightful experiences.
Originally from Munich, Germany, I have extensive work experience in both the US and Europe. I am currently based in New York.
After graduating from ArtCenter College of Design I joined Design Continuum in Boston, with a strong focus on human-centered design methods. As part of a cross-functional team I generated insights and iterated on ideas on a variety of projects, often for Fortune 500 companies such as BMW, Hallmark, Moen, Polaroid and Timberland.
I went on to work at Birsel+Seck in New York and then co-founded normal life inc., a research and design studio, that operated in both New York, and Munich. At normal life, we did product design and research programs for Bic, BMW, Timberland, Graco Baby and Villeroy & Boch.
After several freelance projects I became a member of the MINI Design Studio at BMW Group, working from early design of concept cars through production development and commercial implementation. I led a variety of projects in interior, color & material as well as aftermarket products - always in close collaboration with key stakeholders within the corporation and external suppliers.
Back in New York for several years now I have led research and design projects in travel, office supplies, eyewear and personal care. I am currently involved with a start-up in the kitchen appliance space as well as graphic design and marketing support for an educational non-profit.
